Thankful Thanksgiving

The fourth Thursday of November … What a great day! I am hopeful that each of you were able to spend the day with friends, family and loved ones and were able to eat some extremely delicious food. Kayla and I spent the entire day with her family and will get to do it again on Saturday!

We have so much to be thankful for and Thanksgiving is a great reminder to not take things for granted. Of course we have so much to be thankful for in regards to the adoption. As Kayla mentioned in the previous post our Q-WE-DO BBQ Fundraiser was a huge success! God has blessed us so much already with the adoption process that it is humbling.

However, even beyond the adoption we have so much to be thankful for! We have great jobs, wonderful friends, a supportive and loving family, an amazing church, and of course one another. God has blessed us richly!

We began our home study process 11 days ago. So far it has mostly been paper work and self evaluations, which has not been too difficult to fill out. However, there are some forms that have to be filled out in a specific way by specific people (such as insurance verification) and getting it done correctly is a back-and-forth process. Please pray with us that every form gets filled out correctly and in a timely manner so that we can move on to the next step of the home study process!
