A High School Math Teacher
was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. I was taught at an early age that God loved me, and I can’t remember a time when His word was not being spoken into my life. My brother, Jonathan, is five years younger than me, and I was the protective, sometimes very bossy, older sister. There was never a time in my life when I doubted my parents’ love for me. They constantly demonstrated to me a strong work ethic and sacrificial love. I am still very close to my family and enjoy spending time with them.
Growing up I was always involved in some type of sport. I played basketball, softball, and ran track and cross country. I attended Powell High School where I am now a teacher. I was always drawn to math and the logic I found in it. I was blessed after high school to receive a scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University where I majored in Mathematics and Secondary Education.
I am now blessed to be able to work with teenagers both in my own job and through Nick’s. Although we are already blessed to be involved in the lives of so many and love them as if they were our own, I look forward with great anticipation to the day we are able to welcome a baby into our home.
